Why Do We Teach?

In this session we will examine how we define our roles as teachers, why we entered the profession, what our professional goals are, and how we might attain them. Topics addressed will include vocational discernment, the purposes higher education serves today, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. The session will involve reflective writing exercises and peer discussion.
