LGBTQ+ 101
This introductory lesson will familiarize viewers with the evolving terminology for talking about gender and sexual orientation and provide context and information that is essential for entering the conversation about LGBTQ+ people today. Topics include the LGBTQ+ identity “umbrella,” sex vs gender, gender identity and gender expression, and sexual orientation.
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to distinguish between key concepts related to gender and sexuality and will develop a deeper understanding of LGBTQ+ experiences.
